Metallica and Megadeth Trying To Tour Together For Decades

.
(Rock News Desk) Megadeth bassist David Ellefson says his band tried to arrange a tour with Metallica as far back as the early 1990s but the two camps weren't able to overcome scheduling issues.

It's another nail in the coffin for those who insist the personal problems between Dave Mustaine and his former Metallica bandmates were insurmountable for decades.

Ellefson tells Classic Rock Revisited: "We played shows with them in the past. The first one we did was at the San Francisco Civic Centre on New Year's Eve 1985. We were getting ready to record Peace Sells, and Metallica had just recorded Master of Puppets. It was them, Exodus, Metal Church and Megadeth." more on this story
