Vince Neil Battery Trial Delay

(hennemusic) Looks like Motley Crue's Vince Neil doesn't take his court time seriously. Maybe his lawyer doesn't, either�who knows for sure, but neither of them were in a Las Vegas courtroom today for what was scheduled to be the start of the rocker's bench trial on a misdemeanor battery charge involving his ex-girlfriend, Alicia Jacobs, on March 24 at a show at the Las Vegas Hilton.

The Las Vegas Sun reports one of Neil's backup attorneys asked the court for an "emergency continuance" of the trial. Attorney Saraliene Smith Durret, who was appearing on behalf of David Chesnoff, Neil's attorney, didn't explain what the emergency was, but the prosecutor did not object.

Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa granted the request and reset the date for 8:30 a.m. November 7. more on this story
