Tiger Army will celebrate their 15th anniversary with their fourth annual Octoberflame shows on October 28 & 29 at the Grove of Anaheim. Over the past four years Tiger Army's Octoberflame shows have become one of the most anticipated events of the fall. Each year, thousands of fans from around the world descend upon Orange County to celebrate one of rock's most distinct and inimitable bands.Historically, the shows have sold out in record time with fans sporting the band's signature "Tiger Bat" logo proudly tattooed on their bodies lining up hours before the doors open. "It's a great feeling to watch Octoberflame really put down some roots as it enters its fourth year, most events never make it past the first year or two," says the iconic frontman Nick 13. "I've noticed that there's a genuine feeling of anticipation from the fans that grows stronger every year, it's become a ritual to be enjoyed by the audience and band alike." Four years in and Tiger Army continues to keep Octoberflame fresh and chock full of surprises. In past years the band has performed full album sets, rare live songs, covers and more, and this year should prove to be their most surprising yet. "While each year has been unique in terms of content and feel, I think the constants in preparation are what set the stage for this we consistently go out of our way to change the set by a significant amount each night, to balance favorites with deep album cuts that are rarely performed live and to include musical surprises that even the most ardent fan can't predict," explains Nick 13. "We've also been lucky to have some amazingly diverse and talented support acts who make each evening solid from beginning to end, this year will be no exception in that regard. It's not just a few shows to us, we put more effort into Octoberflame than many bands do into entire tours." Although Tiger Army will only play a rare handful of shows this year, singer Nick 13 is far from idle. The cult rock hero recently released his long awaited self-titled Americana album which has received rave reviews. Nick 13 will kick off his second US headlining solo tour in support of the album in August which includes a performance at Austin City Limits music festival. But what does that mean for the future of Tiger Army? "The writing, recording and touring behind the release of my Americana solo album has been my main focus for the last couple of years, but I've been writing songs all the while for Tiger Army," says Nick 13. "The two entities are quite different in terms of energy and music, but they're both a part of me and while I can't predict exactly when Tiger Army will hit the studio yet, it's something I'm thinking about more and more lately. It's just a matter of time."
