Stephen King and John Mellencamp Musical Coming
. Mellencamp and King's musical collaboration has been in the works for more than a decade, according to Rolling Stone. The production is set in the South, and revolves around the 1957 deaths of two brothers and a young girl. In an interview with the Chicago Tribune last year, Mellencamp called the music "the Sgt. Pepper of Americana." T-Born Burnett also is involved on the music side of things. He's the musical director and recorded the show's soundtrack album, which will be released before the musical premieres.
