Rock Stars Won't Rock For Japan Super Gig
. NME.com is reporting that the "super gig" that was supposed to take place less that two weeks from now at London's Wembley Arena to raise money for the relief efforts in Japan has been cancelled. A spokesman for promoter Live Nation said that the company was unable to book artists for the event. In a prepared statement, the spokesman said, "Unfortunately, with now only 13 days to go to the proposed Concert For Japan, sadly we are in a position where we have been unable to secure the artists required to produce the worldwide TV broadcast that we had hoped for and have therefore, very reluctantly, decided to proceed no further." more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock.
