Elton John and Robert Plant Prom Nights

. Elton John and Robert Plant are going to the prom. No not together. Gibson will fill you in: Sir Elton John will launch this year's BBC Radio 2 Electric Proms on October 28. The piano-playing pop legend will perform tracks form his latest album The Union and he will also perform with Leon Russell and rap star Plan B.

BBC News reports that John said, "I'm delighted to be kicking off this year's Radio 2 Electric Proms, particularly as I'll be joined on stage by Leon who is one of my musical heroes."

Robert Plant of rock legends Led Zeppelin will headline the second night of the event with Band of Joy and the London Oriana choir. The concerts will take place at The Roundhouse in London and will be broadcast live on Radio 2 as well as being televised by BBC Two. - more on this story
