The Charlatans Cancer Fight Update

. (Gibson) Tim Burgess, lead singer with The Charlatans has said that drummer Jon Brookes is well on his way to recovery after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

"He's had an operation," Burgess, told Metro.co.uk. "He's having six weeks of chemotherapy. His spirit's good and that's all that really matters."

The band cancelled their North American tour when Brookes was diagnosed with the tumor. Brookes, 41, collapsed on stage at a Philadelphia gig in September, and was rushed to hospital. - more on this story
