Playing For Change Venue Change
. First, the Wednesday, October 27th performance scheduled for the Wilshire Ebell Theatre has been moved to the El Rey Theatre. Secondly, on Thursday, October 28th, the PFC band will perform for area music students at Watts Tower Arts Center and Lennox Middle School. This year's tour is highlighted by the addition of famed guitarist Ilon Ba (Senegal) to the stellar Playing For Change band which includes percussionist Mohammed Alidu (Northern Ghana), vocalist Clarence Bekker (Netherlands/Suriname), vocals/harmonica Grandpa Elliott (New Orleans), vocals/percussionist Mermans Kenkosenki (DRC Congo), bassist Reggie McBride (Detroit), drummer Peter Bunetta (Los Angeles), guitarist Jason Tamba (Kinshasa, the capital of DRC Congo) and vocalist Titi Tsira (Gugulethu, African township in the Western Cape).
