Kasabian Named Best Act in the World

. (Gibson) At Sunday night's Q Awards in London, Kasabian were named Best Act in the World while Florence Welch, of Florence and the Machine, won twice for Best Female and Best Track for "You've Got the Love."

Best Album went to High Violet from New York band The National. Paolo Nutini picked up the Best Male award and Bryan Ferry was named the Q Icon. The Q Classic Album went to Wings' Band on the Run, and Green Day were named Best Live Act.

BBC News reports that Take That made their first public appearance since Robbie Williams rejoined them in July. Accepting their Hall of Fame award, Robbie Williams said he was "very happy to be back." - more on this story
