Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore Announces Solo Release

In it, he's packaged together a 69-page book and a solo album and titled it In a Silver Rain with a Paper Key. All total, the release includes "a hardcover monograph containing two seven-inch vinyl records, as well as art, photographs, lyrics, poetry and other texts from Moore's personal notebooks and visual archives."

Thurston wrote and recorded all the songs on his new disc � including "You've Lost Your Lover," "Circulation," and "Blood" � on a 12-string guitar. He trotted out many of these new songs for the first time at this year's SXSW festival. - more on this story
