Gibson App Wins Billboard Award

. Gibson Guitar scored the award for "Best Branded Music App" at the first-ever Billboard Music App Awards.

Created in conjunction with Legacy Learning Systems, the Gibson Learn & Master Guitar app has quickly become a must-have accessory for guitarists and is now approaching two million downloads.

The "Best Branded App" award closed Billboard's Mobile Entertainment Live! Music App Summit in San Francisco, which offered a day of awards, panels and keynotes from the likes of Evan Harrison of Clear Channel and Jim Lucchese, CEO of the Echo Nest. App Award judges included MC Hammer, Daniel Klaus, Patrick Mork, Ian Rogers, Ralph Simon and Eliot Van Buskirk. - more on this story
