Fire Destroys Telsa's Studio
. Lost in the early morning blaze were recording equipment, guitars and memorabilia from the band's nearly three-decade career. The studio was owned by Tesla bassist-songwriter Brian Wheat. Wheat was out of town at the time of the incident, but his wife was reportedly on the scene and directing firefighters during the cleanup, in an effort to save priceless equipment and memorabilia. It was reported on local station KCRA that much of the material onsite was destroyed. There is no word yet on the cause of the fire. - Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock.
