Bono Talks Spider-Man Difficulties

Bono wrote the songs for the musical with his U2 bandmate The Edge. Julie Taymor (Across the Universe) co-wrote and directed the production, seeing the process through for more than eight years of development. There have been multiple delays involving casting issues, the death of a producer and safety concerns regarding the show's stunts.

"It's technically very difficult," Bono added. "It has never been achieved before � the kind of scale of what we're looking for. There may be very good reasons. We're going to find out. The expense of it? A lot of it was the delays." -
