Free Track from Hot Chip Grovesnor Side Project

. While not drumming for Hot Chip, Rob Smoughton moonlights as Grovesnor, blending silky vocals with retro synth melodies. In anticipation of the May 25th release of his Lo Recordings solo debut Soft Return, Grovesnor is releasing a remix of his first single off Soft Return, "Taxi From The Airport"

Remixed by Parisian "synth magician" d�bruit and featured exclusively on Filter, the track begins by piling milky harmonies on a half time, handclap-heavy beat. Where the original version conjures visions of a giddy taxi ride back from the airport, the remix is reminiscent of riding in a taxi after taking the red-eye, dawn beginning to break.

Between touring with Hot Chip (and opening select dates), Grovesnor, originally a solo live act, will tour the UK and US with a full six-piece band in support of Soft Return later this year. - Grab the remix here
