The Hundred in the Hands Releasing New EP in May
. The Hundred in the Hands is Jason Friedman and Eleanore Everdell. The recently-signed group makes emotionally charged and intensely driving music, which harks back to the most classic of dance songs from NYC's storied underground. The band describes the EP as, "The more ethereal, gauzy side of our tastes; the Summertime-Gothic and dreamy tracks we made thinking they'd go well with open hydrants and looks that kill." But The Hundred in the Hands' self-description belies more than just a dance band. Everdell and Friedman bend and blend styles, sounds and eras into something that doesn't feel confused, fake or forced. It just feels fun. This Desert EP will follow on the heels of its forthcoming "Dressed in Dresden" 12" single. The critically acclaimed single comes packed with huge remixes from Detroit techno wunderkind Kyle Hall, London bass maestros Various (aka Various Production) and NYC-via-Paris party monster Maxime for diverse contributions to the original song's expansive verve. To coincide with the release of "Dressed In Dresden" on April 6, the band will play alongside James f***ing Friedman, Max Pask, Jacques Renault and The Rapture (DJ set) at Santo's Party House in New York City.
