Gordon Voidwell Sets Release
. Voidwell's brand new track, "Disco Afternoon," which has a hook that nods to the Hall & Oates classic, "Method of Modern Love." Voidwell originally included a snippet of the track on his Voided Checks mixtape , but due to popular demand he went back to his lab to complete the full version. Both "Disco Afternoon" and "Ivy League" epitomize Voidwell's ability to embrace the void between seemingly opposite ideas whether it's old and new, hip and dorky, or pop and indie. That void is the well from which Gordon drinks, and he invites you to do the same. In addition to his own material, Voidwell uses his beatmaking skills to produce tracks for up-and-comers like Das Racist and Iron Solomon as well. If you're in the New York area, don't miss "Gordon Voidwell and Friends" at the 92Y in Tribeca on April 24th. Voidwell and Boy Crisis will be performing, and expect appearances by Das Racist and Iron Solomon. As a true polymath, Voidwell has also satisfied his restless creativity by starting a clothing line with apliiq that reflects his idiosyncratic style. Click HERE for more info on the collection.
