Velvet Revolver To Continue Singer Search Despite Solo Projects
. Slash spoke with RollingStone.com in an interview that was published on Monday and says that Velvet Revolver plan to resume their search for a new vocalist once he finishes touring is support his own record. "I think [bassist] Duff [McKagan] is doing something with Jane's Addiction right now so we're all sort of all over the place doing whatever until we can all regroup," he says. He also spoke about what they are looking for in a singer and their fruitless search so far. "We did listen to a lot of singers, but there hasn't been anybody that's going to be the guy so far." And unlike Velvet Revolver's original search that landed them Scott Weiland and Aerosmith's recent short-lived singer search, don't expect the band to recruit a big name frontman this time around. "It's really hard to do something with a voice that's already really well known in an original band," Slash says. "We want someone who is really good that hasn't been recognized by the whole country as being amazing, but somebody who is just on the precipice of just being discovered." 2010 is almost halfway gone.
