The Charlatans New Album and Tour
. The 10-track album was produced by Youth (Killing Joke, Primal Scream, Paul McCartney) and the first single will be "Love is Ending." The band will be heading to American a week prior to the album's release for a tour that begins September 7 in Atlanta, Georgia and closes September 22 in Los Angeles, California. The tour marks the first time in over four years since The Charlatans performed in North America. For more than two decades now, The Charlatans have been an inspirational force in British rock and on their eleventh studio collection the band remains as exciting now as when they first broke through to the immortal strains of "The Only One I Know." "We told Youth we wanted the record to have the sound of a European winter," said Tim, "with that fresh, crisp sound you get from some Brithis records, but also something fearless, that was quite far-reaching, to challeng ourselves - a real journey." Who We Touch must surely rank as their boldest album to date. it is, says Burgess, "a soulful voyage," a journey through moods uplifing and profound, dark and delirious, ultimately concluding in blissful optimism. Its sound is inspired by many heroes, yet always sounds ike no one other than The Charlatans themselves. The Charlatans on tour: Preview and Purchase Charlatans CDs |
