Former Toto/Survivor Singer Diagnosed With Inoperable Cancer was a top story in May/June. Here is the recap: Fergie Frederiksen is probably best known for scoring three hit singles in three consecutive years with three different bands: (Survivor's "American Heartbeat" in 1982, Le Roux's "Carrie's Gone" in 1983, and Toto's "Stranger in Town" in 1984,) now the singer has been diagnosed with inoperable cancer.

Here is some information from his Myspace about an upcoming benefit concert: "Friends Forever for Fergie Frederiksen" benefit concert being held Sunday July 18th at Bayview Event Center on Lake Minnetonka, MN. Recently, Fergie, a father of two and friend of many, was diagnosed with inoperable life threatening cancer.

Fergie, the former lead singer of the group Toto will be joined by his dear friends, Ligertwood, former lead singer of Santana and Jimi Jamison, former lead voice of Survivor with the band Headliner for a concert with All Proceeds going to the Fergie Frederiksen Family Fund. - more on this story
