I See Hawks in L.A. Release Parties
. Although proud natives of Eagle Rock and Echo Park, you needn't be from Los Angeles to know about or appreciate I See Hawks in L.A. as their previous albums have been reviewed in Spin, Village Voice, USA Today, Uncut and High Times, among many other national and international journals. If you've missed the band's previous albums, no worries the forthcoming 17-song CD should quickly bring you up to speed. And if you are familiar with them, the new album contains five previously unreleased songs including a duet with Carla Olson. You know you're not dealing with typically mellow Southern California country-rock when No Depression calls your album "joyous music-making (with) corrosive, acid-edged lyrics." High Times called them "the house band for a revolution that isn't over yet."
