The Jim Jones Revue Announce U.S. Live Debut
. The Jim Jones Revue kicked off the New Year with a ringing endorsement from Mojo magazine, who tipped the JJR as one of their hot acts for 2010. In early February, The JJR will headline a sold out Mojo Club show at The Jazz Caf in Central London, before heading into the Assault & Battery 2 studio to record their new album with Jim Sclavunos from The Bad Seeds/Grinderman producing. After the album is recorded, they depart for SXSW for a series of showcases and parties which will be announced very soon! As soon as the band returns to London, they will embark on a 17 date tour of the UK & Ireland in late March and April.. It's a fitting start to the decade for a band that worked their fingers down to their fretboards & keyboards in 2009 - a year that saw them hit the ground running, on the back of the release (towards the end of 2008) of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album and the subsequent singles collection, 'Here To Save Your Soul'. In addition, they performed live sessions for key BBC Radio taste makers Marc Riley, Tom Robinson, Mark Lamarr and XFM's John Kennedy, conducted sell-out tours of the UK and Europe and opened up for Dead Weather (at the personal invitation of Jack White, after super-fan BBC DJ Steve Lamacq's on-air appeal for him to check out the band was heeded). In each instance they've left audiences, listeners and the occasional sound engineer in a state of shock and awe and have more than lived up to their reputation as Europe's wildest and hardest rocking band. - Watch the video for 'Elemental' here Preview and Purchase Jim Jones Revue CDs |
