Drummer Killed in Break In
. Austin360.com reported that the burglary occurred around 7:30 a.m. Police report that the intruder was a neighbor, and that Maddox's wife had phoned 911 to report a burglary in progress. Austin360 said a law enforcement source said the operator heard a single shot followed by a pause then several more shots. The Austin American-Statesman reports that friends and relatives of both men believe the incident may have been a tragic misunderstanding rather than an attempted burglary. Friend and neighbor Keith Landers told the Statesman, "It wasn't a robbery. It was a paranoid schizophrenic off his medicine who believed that he was trying to get into his safe house." more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock.
