Rod Stewart Books Soccer Stadium Gig

. (Gibson) Soccer-loving rock legend Rod Stewart is set to play live at Carrow Road, home of Norwich City Football Club on June 8, 2011.

"The club is thrilled to confirm Rod Stewart will be performing live," said Norwich City's head of sales and marketing, Will Hoy. "This is going to be another massive concert for the people of Norfolk to enjoy. It is a major boost to the club and the area to have an artiste of this caliber choosing to play at the Carrow Road stadium."

Stewart hasn't played Norwich, home to fictional TV and radio star Alan Partridge, since the early '60s when he performed at the Orford Cellar. more on this story
