. (hennemusic) U2's first show in Brisbane, on Wednesday, was full of tributes to the late John Lennon on the 30th anniversary of his passing.

The evening kicked off with "Beautiful Day," which featured Bono singing a snippet of "In My Life."

"I remember watching John Lennon sing that song for his son Julian," recalled Bono after the band had slipped in a few bars of "Stand By Me" at the end of "Still Haven't Found."
