"The city's brightness and positive energy are a dominant theme in my work", says Gluskin. He has been dubbed a "Rock 'N' Roll" painter by NYC area media. Jason's painting reflects his impressions of Rock, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Country and Punk. Some compositions are representations of real musicians, including The Band with Bob Dylan which was profiled in The Bands' bass player Rick Danko's website and one featuring Bruce Springsteen which was showcased on the arts page of NJ.com. "Music fills my world. Certain songs or albums will strike a chord or emotion that I need to project visually. The compositions of famous musicians are imaginary, though I watch performance footage to capture the artists personas. That energy transcends all my other work." Jason also creates cityscapes compositions of his urban surroundings that are a composted of whirlwind of color and energy. These, whimsical pieces reflect the duality of chaos and beauty in NYC. Gluskin works in the music industry by day in marketing/business development and has held positions at Live Nation, Rolling Stone Magazine, SIRIUS XM Radio.
