Bun E Out of Cheap Trick?
. In March this year sticksman Bun E Carlos retired from touring after a bout of ill-health, although he officially remains a member of the band. But as Petersson comments, Cheap Trick tend to record while they're out on the road, which means album tracks could feature guitarist Rick Nielsen's son Dax behind the kit. "We were just in Los Angeles and we came up with 10 ideas that are very strong contenders. That's how it works now we just do it as it happens. When opportunities come up we just put ideas together. Once you get 10 or 12 strong things, wow, we have the record," Petersson tells Billboard.com. "We do the majority of our recording as we work on the road. We go into studio here or there, or do something at sound checks. It's kind of like, if you're in the room you're on the record." - more on this story Preview and Purchase Cheap Trick CDs |
