. Slash, Jason Bonham and Green Day to Rock NFL Opener was a top 10 story this week . Here is the recap: Slash, Jason Bonham and Green Day will be providing the music to an NFL opener this season. Gibson has the report: The New York Jets have announced that Green Day will perform during a fireworks-filled halftime show at the team's home opener on September 13 against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Monday night game will also feature a pre-game tailgate concert, featuring Slash, who will be joined by Myles Kennedy, Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls and Jason Bonham, currently of Black Country Communion. Scherzinger will also perform the National Anthem.

As for Green Day, the California punkers will perform with the cast of the Tony Award-winning musical, American Idiot. The band will reportedly play the hit, "Last of the American Girls." - more on this story
