Yesterday Hey Monday released their new EP, Beneath It All, and today they announce that they will perform their new single, "I Don't Wanna Dance," for Jimmy Kimmel Live! which will air in September.

Hey Monday is made up of Cassadee Pope (lead vocals/guitar,) Mike Gentile (lead guitar/vocals,) Alex Lipshaw (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Michael "Jersey" Moriarty (bass/vocals.)

Since releasing their debut album Hold on Tight two years ago, the band has sold nearly 500,000 songs, graced the cover of several magazines in the U.S. and overseas, and have received more than 28 million plays on MySpace.

The band has been featured on MTV's "The Real World: Brooklyn" and most recently on "Silent Library," and the new video for "I Don't Wanna Dance" premiered across MTV's channels in July. Hey Monday has garnered a worldwide fan base including 200,000 followers on Twitter and over 300,000 Facebook fans.

The band has spent the months leading up to the EP's release out on the road with the Warped Tour, being forced to move to the main stage on several occasions due to the massive influx of rabid fans. Warped Tour creator Kevin Lyman recently singled out Hey Monday as a band that is "capturing the kids imagination." The West Palm Beach, Florida natives are no strangers to the road. They have toured the U.S. six times with bands such as Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship and Metro Station.

All of the new songs were co-written by lead singer Cassadee Pope and the title of the EP is a reference to her brutally honest lyrics. Pope found inspiration in her life and the songs cover subjects including love, bitterness, relationships, friends and family. The special collection of songs showcase a cohesive, organic sound that came from the band working so closely together for the past two years. For the new songs they teamed up with a variety of collaborators including Matt Scannell (Vertical Horizon,) Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman (The Hooters,) Sam Hollander and Dave Katz (Boys Like Girls, Cobra Starship) and Butch Walker (Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry) who developed such a rapport with Hey Monday that they were able to help the band tap into a more mature pop sound without losing sight of who Hey Monday is. Beneath It All demonstrates how much the band has grown together in recent years while also capturing the energy and authenticity that Hey Monday fans know and love and that has earned the band wide critical acclaim.
