Johnny Marr Scores TV Theme

Marr's theme tune, "Life is Sweet," comes on the back of his soundtrack work on the blockbuster movie Inception at the invitation of composer Hans Zimmer. Zimmer told MTV News: "What happened was I kept writing this tune, and I kept hearing Johnny Marr play it. Finally, I said to Chris [Nolan], 'What do you think of this idea? I'm like channeling Johnny Marr by now.' And he said it was a great idea."

The guitarist has also composed the incidental music for the six-episode comedy series, which will debut in the U.K. on October 1. - more on this story
