Sarah Smith of The Joys has been in Winnipeg recording a new album and says that last Friday, she and her drummer Kevin Komatsu decided to take a break and go to a bar for a beer.
At the bar, they befriended a couple and two other women and when the bar closed, the group asked the band members for a ride home. When Komatsu pulled over at a gas station so he and the other man could use the rest room, Smith said one of the women suddenly elbowed her in the head and hijacked the van, leaving both men behind.
Yes the woman was ultimately arrested but click here for Sarah's blow by blow account of what went down - more on this story
