The first broadcast of the new network property is this weekend, October 9-11. The Country's HotList is the creation of producer/host Shawn Parr and his Eleven 11 Productions group in Los Angeles. United Stations EVP/Programming, Andy Denemark made this announcement today at the company's Headquarters in New York City.
The Country's HotList with Shawn Parr is a brand new, music-intensive show that is designed to respond quickly to today's fast-breaking world of music, entertainment news, celebrity gossip and life on the internet. The show will regularly recap lists of what's hot in movies, on iTunes, on YouTube and in all corners of entertainment and the show will also utilize interactive technology to involve the audience in both the programming and the promotional and contesting components of the show. The playlist for The Country's HotList will consist of carefully researched Country music hits that will be compatible with every mainstream Country station in America, and the show will also showcase superstar artist interviews.
In making the announcement, USRN's Andy Denemark commented that "We've been working with Shawn Parr for a while to develop something very 21st Century for Country stations, and his team really nailed it with The Country's HotList. The overall sound of this show is perfectly in sync with what today's listeners want and expect, and we believe that the sky's the limit for this new show." Shawn Parr added, "I couldn't be more excited about where we're going with this new program, and of course, I've been involved with the Dick Clark family of media properties for a long time, and to be in partnership with United Stations continues that tradition."
