Morgan recently released A Moment In Time (Country Crossing Records), a collection of evergreen classics including "If You've Got Leavin' On Your Mind," a personal favorite of Lorrie's that she calls "the ultimate Country ballad." The sultry songstress is joined by an outstanding cast of musicians and guests on A Moment In Time, which includes duets with Tracy Lawrence and Raul Malo. The album captures Lorrie's crystalline vocals on timeless classics like "Are You Lonesome Tonight," and "Cry," all of which Morgan delivers with heartfelt and heartbreaking honesty.
Lorrie was just 13 when she made her first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry, singing with her dad, country star George Morgan. In 1984, she made history as the youngest member ever inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. She's charted with more than 30 charted Billboard singles, 14 top ten hits. Seven of her twelve albums have gone gold and platinum.
Lorrie will also chat with Eddie about her move to New York in early 2010. Lorrie is set to begin rehearsals for her starring role in the stage adaptation of "Pure Country," in which she'll play "Lula" opposite Joe Nichols as "Rusty". This will be Lorrie's first foray onto the Broadway stage.
