It's been four years since Harris put his exceptionally successful music career on hiatus. The world renowned DJ/Remixer who shot to international fame as one half of the dynamic duo Thunderpuss - along with (other half) LA-based DJ/Producer Chris Cox - is christening his official comeback by going back to where it all started: The artist, Billie Myers who catapulted Thunderpuss to the top of the dance charts with her worldwide hit "Kiss the Rain" which put the pair center stage under the spotlight of major label executives.
"My decision to come back to the music with Billie Myers was motivated by both sentimental and good karma reasons," says Harris, "Billie's Kiss the Rain was our lucky charm song! It was arguably the biggest radio dance single of the year, and opened so many doors for us)."
Indeed, after Thunderpuss snatched their first ever # 1 hit with the dance anthem now classic remix of "Kiss the Rain", almost overnight Harris & Cox became a hot commodity for all things dance remixes related. Thunderpuss then went on to churn out a slew of chart-topping hits for some of the big calibers in the music entertainment industry - from Cher, Whitney Houston, Donna Summer, Britney Spears to Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera, among others. They topped the Billboard charts an astounding 31 times with Madonna's "Tell Me", Janet Jackson's "All for You", and Mary J Blige's "No More Drama" to name a few.
DJ/Remixer extraordinaire, Barry Harris is credited for founding the band Kon Kan in 1989 which produced a world-wide hit "I Beg Your Pardon". In 2000, He also created "Dive in the Pool."
Billie Myers, herself, is no stranger to the club scene either. The platinum selling singer/songwriter kept her groove on with her Top 10 Billboard Dance Chart smash hit JUST SEX (an extended EP including 4 remixes as well as the album version). Remixed by Eddie Baez, "Just Sex", which brought Myers back on stage, became an instant dance-floor club favorite across the US and around the world. And let's not forget the dance remix of her single "Am I Here Yet" by Junior Vasquez which climbed all the way to # 1 on the Billboard dance charts.
