Dubbed the "indie party circuit's naughty little boy" by Big Shot and described by Alternative Press as melding "electronic sequences with pop-punk sensibilities," Totally Michael has been heating up rock clubs and house parties alike with his sweat-filled, participatory shows. This jaunt is just one of many for Michael who has been touring relentlessly, from Alabama to Australia, in support of his self-titled debut, which was released last fall on IHEARTCOMIX (Matt & Kim, Futurecop) and slated for re-release April 28 to take advantage of the label's newly signed distribution deal with RED.
Totally Michael's songs, with self-explanatory titles like "Summertime," "Prom Night," and "Cheerleaders Vs. Drillteam," are slices of unadulterated enthusiasm that burst with a cheeky, child-like glee. This is no more apparent than live where he recreates these rambunctious homages with just an electric guitar, iPod, mic and his unbridled exuberance. Get in on the fun in a town near you.
