Jace Everett Plans Album Release Show Webcast
06/12/2009
.
(PR) 'Red Revelations,' the new album by singer-songwriter Jace Everett, will make its world premiere on June 22nd, 2009, one day prior to its physical and digital release on June 23rd, in a full-album performance with a five-member band and multi-camera production, webcast in high-definition, live from the stage of the Nashville concert space 12th and Porter.
'Red Revelations' is the third studio album by Everett, best known for writing and performing the irresistibly charged-up rockabilly come-on "Bad Things," the opening theme of the Golden Globe-honored HBO series True Blood. The live debut of the entire album reflects the deep authenticity of 'Red Revelations,' as well as Everett's proven ability to get this close to listeners in recordings and onstage, through his authoritative, cinematic, often sly, and thoroughly seductive roots-music fusion of blues, rock and country.
Also befitting the pure musical inspirations of the album, produced in part by Chuck Prophet (Green on Red) and in part by Everett, 'Red Revelations' will be released in two vinyl formats: standard black, as well as a special limited edition red vinyl pressing, in addition to CD and digital release on the Weston Boys/Haywood Group label.
The webcast will begin at 9 P.M. CDT on Monday, June 22nd, with links to the dedicated URL www.productionavenue.com/jace placed at the artist's official websites at http://www.jaceeverett.com and http://www.Myspace.com/jaceeverett. Joining Everett onstage are the album's roster of ace players: on drums, Derek Mixon; on bass, James Cook; and two frequent collaborators: on guitar, Dan Cohen and on guitar and keyboards, Chris Raspante. 12th and Porter has been the landmark launch pad for many acts making up the eclectic new face of Nashville's modern music, much as the Bluebird Caf has been for traditional country.
"Bad Things" launches a new cycle of interest in Jace Everett this month, resuming its high-profile weekly airings as True Blood begins its second season at 9 P.M. Sunday, June 14th. The song typically generates over 10,000 streams a day on Everett's MySpace page, building a stream total now approaching 4 million making him the No. 1 independent Americana artist on MySpace.com for months on end, ever since the debut of the series in fall 2008.
The True Blood complete first-season DVD and Blue-Ray disc, released by HBO, and the soundtrack album on Elektra/Atlantic, both featuring "Bad Things" as the opening song, are now available at physical and digital retail. Everett is a 2009 BMI Cable Award winner as the composer of "Bad Things." He is also the co-writer of the No. 1 country smash "Your Man," by Josh Turner.
