The record was co-produced by Colvin and longtime collaborator John Leventhal. Colvin has been praised by audiences and critics for her live performances since the beginning of her career.
This summer, Colvin continues to touralong with label mate Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, and Buddy Milleras The Three Girls and their Buddy, with some solo dates along the way. Colvin also returns to Yoshi's in the fall for a four-night engagement, following last year's sold-out run at which this recording was made.
A three-time Grammywinner, Shawn Colvin has released eight albums to date, including the platinum A Few Small Repairs which featured the hit song "Sunny Came Home." Colvin's songs have been included on many motion picture soundtracks and she has also made appearances in films, on television, and on the stage.
Colvin's most recent album, These Four Walls, (Nonesuch, 2006), was lauded by People magazine as "the most self-assured album of her career" and called "one for the ages" by the Washington Post. The Austin-American Statesman called it "an exquisite portrait of strength and vulnerability." She recently signed a deal with Harper Collins Publishers to write a memoir, which will be an extension of the intimate, personal, and often hilarious stories that she weaves into her live concerts.
