"My Religion" was mixed by Larry Sturm (Destiny's Child, Mary J. Blige, Disturbed) at Pressure Point Studios in Chicago, IL. Larry had spent some time with the band mixing and learning what the songs were about. Larry heard the song and said "This song has all of the ingredients of a hit song". After the song was mixed Gary Tannin Mastered it. Gary did a wonderful job bringing out the flavor of the song with his unique style and touch. Michele was inspired to write the lyrics and coming up with the melodies to the song when she observed her parents watching the news.
Their eyes were glued to the T.V. and you could see they were actually feeling the words and images that were being aired and they were outraged. Michele read the lyrics to Danny and sang him the melodies and within minutes the music=2 0came to him. Everything fell right into place. The words to this song are about some of the top stories in the news over the past couple of years. Although nameless, it's funny how history repeats itself. The words to this song will live on and on from this generation to the next. T.V. destroys me, it corrupts me, it engulfs me it's my religion..Dear God, we hope not.
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album - right here!
