(PR) The Texas metal music scene has never been the same since rocker Tommy Bones hit the streets with his aggressive blend of heavy-hitting groove-metal. Now Tommy Bones has released a new self-titled five-track EP of biting in-your-face rock, which has been garnering praise from the music press worldwide. "Tommy Bones is a must see - Great metal band!" recently raved the Houston Press. Tommy Bones unique rhythm guitar style and vocals, along with his strong writing ability, has gotten him noticed in the underground scene nationally landing him in publications such as Revolver Magazine and other high profile online music sites.

A native of Iowa, Tommy Bones started in 2006 as a solo project. The guitarist/vocalist recorded a 10-song CD titled 'Scarred', which combined a mixture of Rock, Alternative and Blues. After the CD was released Tommy Bones began receiving substantial airplay around the world. Because 'Scarred', which is available today at iTunes, Best Buy, Amazon, Target, etc, began selling tremendously, Tommy relocated to Dallas, Texas to get a new band started. Consequently, Tommy's song "Alone" is featured on 'Dallas Rockers For Life' album, which is awareness against drunk driving.

As of the summer of 2007 Tommy Bones, now in Houston, started writing songs for his newly released CD EP. Going back to his roots, Tommy has been writing heavy hitting, groove-metal songs that will grab anyone by the balls. "When I was growing up, I was a huge Sabbath and Ozzy fan," says Tommy. "My first song I learned to play was 'War Pigs'. There were so many bands that I thought were gods and I emulated the way they played. Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, White Zombie and Anthrax were the bands I wanted to be just like. But as the years went by many other great bands came along that have inspired me as well, such as Slipknot, Lamb of God and many others."

With songs off the new EP like "Fight", "Burn" and "Muderous Rage" , Tommy Bones has something to say to the world, "Short and sweet - 'Don't take crap from anyone', explains Tommy. "So many people never stand up for themselves, or for others. That even goes for our nation's way of life. We need to stand up to our own government and take back our nation. The people we have elected as public servants have let us down and disgraced out country. I feel the only way to secure our way of life is to join together as a nation and take back control of our country."
