The surrealistic video, directed by Piper Ferguson of Oil Factory/Lodger Films and shot at various Los Angeles landmarks (Griffith Park, 2ndstreet tunnel, Beachwood Canyon-Hollywood Sign), incorporates MIRANDA's modern bohemian edge with a 60's Warhol style. Look for MIRANDA to perform "Early November" LIVE on the KTLA Morning News in Los Angeles on Monday, February 16; tune in at 8:40 AM.
MIRANDA and her full-backing band--Kirk Hellie (bass), Rick Parker (guitars), Kevin Stevens (drums) and Ben Peeler (pedal steel guitar)--will perform every Tuesday in February at 11:00pm at Spaceland (1717 Silver Lake Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90026). In addition, MIRANDA will be adding new players and elements to the shows each week.
For the residency, MIRANDA hand-picked the bill which features Los Angeles indie favorites as well as a few up-and-coming artists: February 3: Magic Mirror, The Shore, EXITMUSIC; February 10--official record release show--: Whispering Pines, Lower Heaven, Nick Jago (of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club); February 17: The Moon Upstairs, The Chapin Sisters and Big Search; February 24: Square On Square (former Marjorie Fair), He's My Brother She's My Sister, Quarter After and very special guests to be announced.
In touring news, MIRANDA will be heading to Austin for multiple shows during SXSW week, including a performance slot at Austin's "Psych Fest" on Sunday, March 15 at 4:00pm at the Radio Room (508 East 6th St. Austin, TX 78701). Expect a full announcement of more SXSW shows soon.
