Songz whose blockbuster new album, "READY," has just received a Grammy Award nomination as "Best Contemporary R&B Album" will herald the release of "UP CLOSE & READY" with a pair of much anticipated TV appearances. First up is a visit to BET's The Mo'Nique Show, slated for Wednesday, December 9th. Trey will then perform live on the Friday, December 11th installment of BET's 106 & Park (check local listings). The appearances follow Songz's recent show-stopping performance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Songz has long been hailed for his extraordinary on-stage presence, with the New York Times recently declaring that he "transfixes like no other R&B singer of the day." "UP CLOSE & READY" features new renditions of some of Trey's biggest hits, recorded live at New York City's Clinton Studios earlier this year. Among the highlights are intimate takes on such favorites as "One Love," "I Need A Girl," "Last Time," "Gotta Go," and the #1 classic, "Can't Help But Wait." As if all that weren't enough, the EP features an all-new companion video for "One Love," which serves as an ideal visual document of this very special live performer. The "One Love" video premiered today on Trey Songz's Facebook page and can be seen at - http://www.TreySongz.com
