Arsis joins label mates Dew-Scented, Threat Signal, and Bleed the Sky for their first-ever appearance at what's being touted as the 'fastest growing celebration of all things metal.' In its second year, the Indianapolis Metal Fest is setting itself apart from other metal festivals by highlighting diverse bands from all metal genres.
Joining Arsis, Dew-Scented, Threat Signal, and Bleed the Sky at the Indianapolis Metal Fest II will be national bands Kittie, Divine Heresy, Mustasch, The Absence, Ekotren, Woe of Tyrants, Demiricous, Shadowside (Brazil), Level-C, Wykked Wytch, Obszon Geschopf (France), Green Jelly, Into Eternity, Daylight Dies, Destrophy, Skeletonwitch, The Destro, Gates of Slumber, Gigan, Black Chapel.
2008 has proved to be busy and successful for the Virginia-based Arsis, which is arriving in Indianapolis fresh off their summer 'Trash and Burn Tour' with Misery Signal, Darkest Hour, and Parkway Drive and will hit the road again in November on the 'European MetalFest Tour' with Morbid Angel and Kataklysm through the end of the year. Arsis is performing and touring with material from their latest Nuclear Blast Release, "We are the Nightmare."
The addition of Arsis will add to the buzz of the festival already realized by the number of pre-sale tickets sold. To encourage fans to continue the momentum of buying tickets early, the Indianapolis Metal Fest has announced that all buyers of pre-sale two-day tickets sold by midnight on September 13 will be entered to win a HALO Limited Edition Custom Indianapolis Metal Fest Edition Guitar. The winner of the contest will be announced by festival hostess Mistress Juliya on Saturday evening. The ticket buyer must be present to win and will be photographed with Mistress Juliya and included in post-festival press and promotion.
The show will take place at Madame Walker Theater, located at 617 Indiana Avenue in Indianapolis. Two-day tickets are $30 in advance/$40 at the door. Tickets are available at www.indianapolismetalfest.com, www.myspace.com/indymetalfest or by phone at (888) 690-9875.
