The official word from Scotland Yard is that "a 34-year-old male" was taken into custody "in the late morning today" in a police precinct in Central London. (Bale is 34.)

[in a follow up report from TMZ] Sources directly connected to the Christian Bale case tell TMZ there was physical contact between Christian and his mom, but it amounted to next to nothing.
