.
(PR) Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen recording group The Hush Sound has announced details of its much-anticipated new album, entitled "GOODBYE BLUES." The album which follows the Chicago-based band's acclaimed second album, 2006's "LIKE VINES" is due to arrive in stores and online on March 18th.

"GOODBYE BLUES" will first be available for pre-orders on the band's website, www.thehushsound.com, beginning on January 29th. Fans who pre-order the album will receive an exclusive digital download of the album's first single, "Honey," for free. "Honey" will then go on sale via iTunes on February 5th. In addition, FBR webstore customers pre-ordering Panic At The Disco's upcoming second album, "PRETTY. ODD.," will receive a limited $2 discount applicable to the purchase of "GOODBYE BLUES."

The Hush Sound will herald "GOODBYE BLUES" with a series of headline dates, set to run from February 29th through March 18th full details will be announced shortly. From there, the band will join Panic At The Disco on the hugely anticipated 2008 Honda Civic Tour. The annual North American trek is slated to hit the road on April 10th at San Francisco's Warfield Theatre, with dates continuing through a June 14th finale at Anaheim's Honda Center.

"GOODBYE BLUES" was recorded last fall at North Hollywood's Fairfax Recordings with producer/engineer Kevin Augunas (Cold War Kids, Jon Brion) at the helm. Tracks such as "Honey" and "Medicine Man" see the Hush Sound thumbing through the back pages of American music, filtering blues, swing, rock, and folk through the prism of their own unique sensibility. The result is the band's most ambitious work to date, a mature and masterful album which displays its distinctive gift for melding emotional depth, intellectual vigor, and catchy pop buoyancy.

"All of a sudden everything just clicked," says vocalist/pianist Greta Salpeter. "This record is the consummation of our unconsummated marriage."
