Competitors in this virtual battle will create band profiles on the Unsigned Battle of the Bands web gallery by uploading MP3s, band, bios and photos. Then legions of fans and fans-to-be will vote for their favorite artists and decide which one of them will land this potentially career-making opportunity. Voters also have a chance to win a grand prize of $5,000 cash and a trip to catch the Get a Life Tour in the city of their choice as well as instant win prizes.
Participating bands are required to submit an MP3 and may also upload bios, background information and band stories to be displayed on the gallery of bands. True to the spirit of seeing artists succeed, all bands who add their music and bios to the band Gallery at the contest page will be given access to a promotional toolkit including a poster template, a fan email template and a CD label template that will help them launch their careers. Following the competition, the winning band will post video, pictures and blogs from the road.
The Samsung Mobile Unsigned Battle of the Bands will be open for band registration from January 10th through March 2nd, 2008. Voting will begin on January 25th. Bands can enter for this rare opportunity to tour and share their music with new fans everywhere at the Samsung Mobile Unsigned Battle of the Bands home page:
