Pop phenomenon the Jonas Brothers have already been confirmed to perform. Presenters and additional performers for the 2008 Video Music Awards will be announced at a later date.

Nominees vying for a "Best Hip Hop" MoonMan are Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, Lupe Fiasco and the "Queen of Hip Hop Soul" Mary J. Blige. Beginning on Friday, July 18th, MTV viewers began voting on FNMTV to help choose nominees for the 2008 Video Music Awards.
