Musically it was about making something with a certain propulsion to it like a traveling song and a song that felt positive, something that made you feel uplifted when you heard it, you know like in the spirit of Midnight Oil celebration-al. I think I was just going for that and it's the first time I've ever tried to write something like that with that had that sort of feel.
It's definitely one of the more sentimental songs on the record, but there's also a sense of escapism that I like, like an inherent feeling that 'everything is gonna be alright,' you know, the '60s Motown 'make you feel good' song. - Preview tracks from the CD, get tour dates and more here
