Prodigy Going to Prison - A Top Story This Week

. (Contact Music) MOBB DEEP rapper PRODIGY has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars after pleading guilty to a weapons charge dating back to 2006.

The G-Unit star - real name Albert Johnson - was indicted on one charge of gun possession at Manhattan Supreme Court in New York on Tuesday (09Oct07).

The charge relates to Johnson's arrest last October (06), when New York cops pulled over his Chevy Suburban Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) for making an illegal u-turn
