The album features two EPs, the Fire disc and the Water disc. Each disc showcases a different side of the band's styles, Fire leans heavier and shows comparisons to the band's old sound. The Water disc features lush soundscapes and quiet rock. Dustin Kensrue's mature, broad vocals adorn both discs masterfully.

In spring of 2008, the band will release The Alchemy Index: Vols III & IV: Earth & Air. Those EPs will represent two different styles of music.
