One of the most influential bands of the positive hip hop movement and known for their political and socially conscious lyrics, Arrested Development exploded onto the scene in 1992 with the Grammy-winning album 3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of Now with the October 30 release of Since The Last Time, Arrested Development is poised to re-join the ranks of the consummate bands and musicians they helped inspire, such as the Black Eyed Peas, who Arrested Development recently played an unprecedented gig with in Jerusalem, as well as The Roots and Common. Even brand new acts like Gym Class Heroes have cited the bands influence. Group frontman Speech collaborated on Biters Block off that bands highly successful new album.
Since The Last Time was produced by Sam Hollander and Speech and recorded in New York and Atlanta. The album features 12 brand new tracks, including Miracles, which will be the first single. Other key tracks include Sao Paulo and title track Since The Last Time. This album is a mixture of an easy going but lively songs meant to stir up belief and thirst, says Speech of the release.
In addition, a special mix tape will be available October 30th on Vagabond Record & Tapes that features 18 classic and unreleased AD gems, plus hot collaborations, including Gym Class Heroes, TY, DJ Hasabe & Braille.
