Founded in September 1999 by Roy Elkins, a corporate executive and musician with many years of experience in the field, Broadjam.com was created as a way to empower independent musicians by providing them online promotional tools. The Madison-based company has evolved over the last seven years, according to Elkins, from collecting indie music to redistributing it to outlets that are traditionally difficult for independents to reach such as film/TV and radio.
Broadjam�s dynamic community serves independent artists and fans from all 50 U.S. states and more than 155 countries globally. Providing musicians a place to call home, Broadjam includes opportunities to place music, a song review system, artist profiles, the ability for artists to sell their music downloads (and receive the highest payout in the industry), over 225 Top 10 Charts, classified ads, song contests, the ability to transmit music (give private access to download songs) and more.
